Vitamin C Smoothie Recipe of the month

8 oz. fresh orange juice
1 ripe pear, peeled and chopped
1 kiwi, peeled and chopped
4 frozen strawberries

Put all these ingredients in the blender and enjoy.

Nut Milk Shake

A frosty non-dairy drink made with frozen bananas, soaked nuts and dates.

3/4 cup almonds, soaked 2-8 hours or
3/4 cup cashews, soaked 1-2 hours
4 dates, soaked 1-2 hours (save soak water)
3-4 peeled frozen bananas
3 cups cold filtered water or apple juice

Optional flavorings:

1 tsp. non-alcoholic vanilla extract
2 tbsp. raw carob powder
A few fresh berries
1 tsp. ground cinnamon

In blender, combine nuts, dates and water or juice until smooth. Break frozen banana into pieces, add to mixture and blend until smooth. Add one or more optional flavors if desired. Pour into glasses. Serves 4.

New Fashioned Vanilla Shake

One of the finest warm-day, between meal pick-me-ups!

4-5 organic frozen ripe bananas
1 vanilla bean stick (broken-up into pieces)
2-3 cups purified water (or coconut water)

Peel and slice ripe (spots on the outside skin) bananas into 1-inch cubes, place in a container or re-usable zip-lock bag, and put into the freezer for 2 days. (Suggestion: To enjoy making this drink many times throughout the week, you may want to freeze a larger quantity.) Place frozen cubes into blender or Vitamix, add water, vanilla bean stick pieces and blend. Note: You may have to add more water if using a blender. Consistency should be thick and creamy. Loaded with vitamin C.

'Chocolate Shake'

For a great-tasting energy boost at any time of the day.

Mix in a blender until smooth.

2 bananas
1 cup soaked, sprouted, brown sesame seeds (230 ml)
2 cups water (460 ml)
2 tbsp. carob (30 ml)
A drop of almond extract

Banana Date Almond Smoothie

This shake got my husband off of milkshakes It's the best!

Handful of raw almonds (Preferably soaked for a few hours.)
4-5 fresh dates
2-3 frozen bananas (Make sure the bananas are ripe when you freeze them. Brown spots are good.)
Water to the consistency of a milk shake.

Blend and enjoy.

You can add vanilla or cinnamon to this shake it gives a great taste.

Orange Jublious

Juice from 2 valencia oranges (fresh squeezed)
10 oz frozen mango
3 oz (or more) frozen raspberries
1 young coconut water and meat
(Available at most Asian markets)
1 vanilla bean

Place above ingredients in blender and blend.
